Accessibility statement
We are committed to making this dashboard usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology.
Our commitment
The Oregon Longitudinal Data Collaborative is committed to ensuring this site is accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is treated as part of the design, not an add-on.
The standard we build to
This site is built to conform with WCAG 2.2 Level AA and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. Where the two differ, we follow the stricter requirement. We chose WCAG 2.2 because it is a strict superset of the 2.1 standard and protects accessibility for the full life of this product.
Built-in accessibility tools
- Text size control, up to 200%, in the toolbar at the top of every page.
- A high-contrast theme tested against every chart and color used on the site.
- Read-aloud for the main content of any page, with speed controls.
- A “view as table” option for every chart and the map.
- Full keyboard support, a visible focus indicator, and a skip-to-content link.
How we test
We test using a combination of methods: automated scanning on every page, manual keyboard-only testing, and testing with screen readers (VoiceOver and NVDA). We also check the site at 400% zoom and at a 320-pixel screen width.
Known limitations
The embedded interactive reports are provided through a third-party tool whose internal accessibility we do not fully control. For that reason, every interactive report is paired with an accessible data table that contains the same information.
